Fish Survey Training Dive - Sun 10th
HarbourKeepers Fish Survey Training Workshops are part of a training course
that leads to students gaining a PADI certification as a Project AWARE
Fish Identification Specialty diver. They are run by an experienced Dive
Instructor and teach fish identification techniques, survey methodology
and diver safety. They are a fun, social way of acquiring new skills or
formalising skills you already have and enable participants to contribute
to marine conservation by collecting important fish biodiversity information.
The training includes a 3 hour fish identification workshop,
two training dives with equipment provided, a set of fish identification
dive slates and the HarbourKeepers Fish Survey Manual.
On successful completion of the course divers can register
for any HarbourKeepers or CoastKeepers fish survey dive in NSW or complete
surveys as part of their regular diving activities.
The dives, workshop and materials are all free but cost
of certification must be covered by participants at just $50 per person.
For information on the surveys click
here.
