Drummoyne Scouts Clean Up - North Head, Sydney
Harbour National Park - Sun 4th
Members of Drummoyne Scouts will be earning their Community Service
Award by completing clean up activities at Collins Beach and Store Beach
on North Head in the Sydney Harbour National Park. The scouts will be
making a valuable contribution to the Sydney Harbour environment by removing
harmful rubbish. Debris washed up on the beach not only detracts from
the beauty of the Harbour but can also harm wildlife: plastic bags can
be lethal when swallowed by marine mammals. The scouts will be working
with a Ranger from the National Parks and Wildlife Service to ensure that
their contribution has a positive environmental outcome.
If you belong to a community group and would like assistance with organising
similar events please contact us.
