Wreck Biodiversity Survey - Sun 1st
On the afternoon of Sunday 1st May you can participate in our fish
biodiversity survey at the Centurion wreck site near North Head.
The wreck sunk in 18 meters of water leaving a large portion
of the hull , deck frames, sections of the masts, anchor chain and other
fastenings.
HarbourKeepers is building information on the marine life
around wrecks in Sydney Harbour and you can play a part through our regular
events.
Bush Regeneration - Reef Beach, Balgowlah
Heights
Sun 15th
The HarbourKeepers and reef beach bush regenerators were among the lucky
people to spot some of the Humpback and Southern Wright whales cruising
past the spectacular heads on Sunday June 19th. The whales will be in
transit for a couple of months yet so if you haven't seen them this year
join the regular HarbourKeepers bush regenerators.
These monthly bush regeneration activities are a great chance to socialise
with your fellow HarbourKeepers, help look after Sydney Harbour and take
in the scenic views!
This month newcomers learnt new skills while regenerating the natural
bushland around Reef Beach and everybody made new friends while enjoying
the morning tea provided by the NPWS.
This really is a great location to get involved in bush regeneration.
There arent many places that you can enjoy some of the best views Sydney
Harbour has to offer while making a huge difference for the local environment.
