TAFE Fish Survey Training Workshop
- Sat 5th and associated Training Dive - Sat 12th
TAFE students undertaking the HarbourKeepers & CoastKeepers Statement
of Attainment in Marine and Coastal Conservation will be completing the
Fish Survey workshop and associated training dive. After completion of
the course the students will recieve a PADI certification as Project AWARE
Fish Identification Speciality divers and will be able to conduct HarbourKeepers
& CoastKeepers Fish Biodiversity Surveys.
Data gathered from these dives will be forwarded to the
NSW BioNet database - a publicly accessible online database for marine
researchers and managers, to Project AWARE, the dive industry's leading
nonprofit environmental organisation and other relevant agencies.

Workshop: Sat 5th - Northern Beaches TAFE Campus
Dive: Sunday Sat 12th - Chowder Bay

URG HarbourKeepers Fish Survey
- Sat 19th
UnderWater Research Group (URG) will be conducting a survey dive on
Sunday June 17th, diving to 18M or less. Dive with some of Sydney's most
knowledgable, experienced and friendly divers and be amazed!

dives are some of the most popular HarbourKeepers activities, so if you
are intersted try to get on board quickly!
Bush Regeneration - Reef Beach, Balgowlah
Heights
Sun 20th
These
monthly bush regeneration activities are a great chance to socialise with
your fellow HarbourKeepers, help look after Sydney Harbour and take in
the scenic views! Newcomers will learn new skills while regenerating the
natural bushland around Reef Beach.
Bush regeneration at this site is conducted in conjunction with the National
Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS). NPWS provide training for beginners
so that everyone could get involved no matter what their level of experience.
To get involved in Reef Beach bush regeneration register
as a HarbourKeeper. Once registered you will receive regular email
newsletters about upcoming events, however if there is an event you are

Macquarie Bank Clean Up in Sydney Harbour National
Park - Wed 23rd
Volunteers from Macquarie Bank will be conducting clean up and bush regeneration
activities around Hermit Bay in Sydney Harbour National Park. Activities
will begin in the afternoon.
The volunteers will be making a valuable contribution to the Sydney Harbour
environment by removing harmful rubbish as well as contibuting to the
restoration of the natural vegetation.
