The Art of Living Bush Regeneration
- Nielson Park - Sat 17th
Today
a group from the Art of Living will be completing bush regeneration in
Nielson Park on the south side of Sydney Harbour National Park. Participants
will work with staff from the National Parks and Wildlife Service to remove
weeds and so encourage the growth of native plants.
This is a closed event for The Art of Living members. The Art of Living
Foundation is a world wide organisation dedicated to uplifting and serving
society in a number of different ways. This month the Art of Living volunteers
will be joining Harbourkeepers in our efforts to regenerate the beautiful
natural bush at Vaucluse."
There is an open event for all HarbourKeepers on Sunday 18th November.
Bush Regeneration - Hermitage Foreshore
- Vaucluse - Sun 18th
Calling
all HarbourKeepers - Sydney Harbour needs you!
The beautiful Hermitage Foreshore in the Sydney Harbour National Park
in Vaucluse is suffering from a weed invasion that is choking native plants
but not providing native animals with the correct foods or habitats.
This is a chance to be involved in a new conservation project from the
beginning. You will learn about native plants and wildlife and make a
real difference to the conservation of Sydney Harbour. No experience is
required as you will work under the guidance of skilled natural area managers
from the National Parks and Wildlife Service. Read more about HarbourKeepers
work along the Hermitage Foreshore here.
