Underwater Clean Up - Chowder Bay,
Mosman - Sat 15th
Plunge
Diving will be running an underwater clean up dive in the beautiful Chowder
Bay for International Clean Up the World Weekend.
Chowder Bay is a glorious dive with many exotic fish, but
the high density of people living and visiting the area can result in
an unsightly build up of rubbish. Join this event to be part of a team
of divers concerned with the marine environment and determined to make
a difference.
The event starts at 09.00am at the Plunge Diving shop located
right on Chowder Bay, Mosman.

Fish Survey training and dives - Workshop Thurs
27th / Dives Sun 30th
Volunteer divers will be trained to participate in HarbourKeepers &
CoastKeepers survey of marine fish in NSW. The Fish Survey project provides
a means for the dive community to contribute to marine conservation by
gathering data on the population and distribution of 50 NSW marine fish.
HarbourKeepers forwards this data to BioNet, Project AWARE and other agencies.
Training consists of a 3 hour fish identification workshop and two training
dives. Divers who successfully complete training are able to incorporate
Fish Surveys into their normal dive activities and join organised Fish
Survey events. Successful completion of the HarbourKeepers Fish Survey
course also results in PADI certification as a Project AWARE Fish Identification
speciality diver.
Dive equipment for HarbourKeepers Fish Survey training is generously
supplied by Plunge Diving - HarbourKeepers primary dive supporter. Click

Diving's website.

- Sun 23rd
Calling
all HarbourKeepers - Sydney Harbour needs you!
The beautiful Hermitage Foreshore in the Sydney Harbour National Park

animals.
This is a chance to be involved in a new conservation project from the
beginning. You will learn about native plants and wildlife and make a
real difference to the conservation of Sydney Harbour. No experience is
required as you will work under the guidance of skilled natural area managers
