HarbourKeepers@HermitageForeshore

HarbourKeepers are excited to be embarking on a new project with the National Parks and Wildlife Service in the Sydney Harbour National Park. HarbourKeepers@Hermitage Foreshore will involve regular bush regeneration and clean up activities along the Hermitage Foreshore, Vaucluse.

Hermitage Foreshore is a magnificent part of Sydney Harbour. It is home to remnant areas of bush, endangered plants and native wildlife: all with stunning views across the harbour to the city. Hermitage Foreshore provides a peaceful retreat from a hectic city life but needs our urgent care to protect it from choking weeds and harmful rubbish.

HarbourKeepers will work closely with the National Parks and Wildlife Service to provide a workforce of volunteers to ensure Hermitage Foreshore remains a safe haven for native plants and animals. Regular and ongoing events will help protect native bush from weed invasions and restore degraded areas back to their natural condition.

Staff from the National Parks and Wildlife Service will supervise all activities. No prior knowledge is necessary as training will always be available. This is a great opportunity to contribute to protecting our beautiful harbour and to gain valuable skills, knowledge and experience in natural area restoration.

To get involved check out the HarbourKeepers calendar pages for details of scheduled events and email Dave to book a place info@harbourkeepers.org.au. Register as a HarbourKeeper here.
