Plunge Diving

Plunge Diving is located at Chowder Bay, Mosman, right on the foreshore of Sydney Harbour. Plunge Diving has been HarbourKeepers Primary Dive Supporter since July 2006.

Plunge Diving generously supplies free dive equipment for HarbourKeepers volunteers who are completing Fish Survey training. They also supply expert advice, staff support and a venue for events.

Plunge Diving is the only scuba diving shop right on Sydney Harbour. It is staffed by some of Australia's most experienced dive instructors. Boat diving is accessed directly outside the Plunge shop, as is a great shore dive full of exotic critters.

Sydney Aquarium

Sydney Aquarium's dive team will be participating in HarbourKeepers Fish Surveys on a regular basis whilst diving in the Harbour.

"It's essential to us that we safeguard our marine life," said Grant Willis of Sydney Aquarium. "Our teams of divers are looking forward to contributing to the Fish Survey project by helping to record what lives in Sydney Harbour."

NSW Scouts

Scouts NSW is a non-profit, volunteer organisation dedicated to the development of young people. The Scout movement includes an emphasis on environmental care. Each year Scouts NSW holds a State Environmental Activities Camp (SEAC) where scouts come together from across the state for 3 days of fun and environmental awareness.

Scouts are involved in many environmental programs organised through the Scouts Environmental Activities Team (SEAT) and local scouts groups. Key environmental care projects undertaken by Scouts include the regeneration of bushland on Clark Island with HarbourKeepers, planting 20,000 trees at sites around Wagga Wagga to help “Halt the Salt” (SEAC), and surveys of fauna to assess numbers of marsupial animals in the wild.

Getting your business or group involved in HarbourKeepers

Businesses, social groups, clubs - all organisations are invited to get involved in HarbourKeepers activities. HarbourKeepers events offer a great chance for participants to learn more about the marine environment and help safeguard Sydney Harbour.

If you would like more information on how your organisation can get involved in HarbourKeepers please contact us.

Open and Closed Events

Organisations can participate in HarbourKeepers activities as either Open or Closed events. In both instances HarbourKeepers will help in the organisation and promotion of the event to raise awareness of your organisation's contribution to marine conservation.

The main difference is that Open events will be promoted to all our HarbourKeepers volunteers as an event they can join and that Closed events are for the organisation's members or customers only.

If you want your business or group to get involved in HarbourKeepers please contact us!
